Katie Tenneson (KT) is a 5th generation Trinity County Native and a graduate from Trinity High School. Throughout her childhood growing up in Weaverville, she was a very active member in the community.
Upon her graduation from high school, she attended Humboldt State University and earned a Bachelors Degree in Rangeland Resource Science with an emphasis in Range and Soil Science. Her first passion has always been the outdoors and the natural world. It was KT’s dream to work in a field that allowed her to have an intimate connection to nature. Throughout her entire college career she worked as a Rangeland Management Technician, where she refined her skills on land management, botany, soil science, wildlife management and forestry.
KT, being very similar to her Mama, is unable to sit still long; and although she loved what she was doing, she desperately missed being in the classroom and decided to go back to school in August of 2013. Shortly after her arrival to Chico, she was hired as the Diamond Productions Event Producer, an unexpected career move that has made a truly positive impact on her life. Also, during her time in Chico, KT has earned her Agriculture Specialist Teaching credential at Chico State University and is the current Agriculture Instructor and FFA Advisor at Los Molinos High School. She plans to continue her pursuit as a ‘life long learner’ as well as make it a personal goal to stay firmly connected to Trinity County and the place she calls home.
